She's 11 months, and happily removing her socks at every opportunity. Even when she doesn't mess with them, they fall off. I must spend half my day putting them back on. Anybody have any creative tips for ways to keep her darn socks on her feet?
is she capable of removing both shoes and socks? if not, then shoes maybe the answer. Or try tights! can't do this with little boys (such a shame!) but girls totally can

Our 8 month DD seems to like to always pull her left sock off. We went to get her out of her carseat when we got to church the other week, and no left sock... anywhere... she had to go sockless Of course, she probably didn't mind, she likes to suck on her toes
Our favorite socks that stay on the best are from sears, there were also some from burlington coat factory, but we could only find them in the 0-3 month size.

You can get some super cute Robeez-style shoes on etsy for about 1/3 of the Robeez price. There are sellers who just make them out of cotton fabric, too, which would be good for the warmer months for a baby who's not walking yet.
9yo and brand new as of 4/28/10!
also carters makes these "bubble" socks. they have these knit "bubbles" of color around the edges. those are the only ones i've gotten to work but i haven;t tried old navy
I figured out early on that if his feet are cold he'll leave the socks on. If he's not cold, he'll have them off in 30 seconds flat.
But I have been known to put on a pair of socks and then put a pair of babylegs over them, with the legs pulled down over his heel. I don't do that now that he's trying to crawl though.

Two words: Duct tape
.....but you have to tear the tape into thinner strips because whole pieces are too big for a baby.
That's funny. My mom bought DS some baby sock from Walmart of all places that stay on great.
Is it getting lonely in the echo chamber yet?
Old Navy roll down socks. They make DD mad, they're the only ones she can't pull off, which is her favourite game when she's in her car-seat.
My sister used these for both her children and convinced me to get a pair for my son. They are fantastic!
It is all about snaps!
I was like... uh yeah... lots. So apparently it is considered a developmental milestone for them to do this.
(And I totally agree about Robeez, we buy the no-name brand ones from the local supermarket, but they help to keep socks on too.)
