We started solids yesterday. We fed DD avocado on two different occasions. It was a total of less than one Tablespoon. That night, she was fussing and couldn't sleep. She wanted to stay awake at 11P when she woke up to eat. Then, she woke up at 2A to feed and she could not fall back to sleep after that. She was just fussing. It seemed like she had gas... but, could solid food be affecting her sleep? We decided on skipping solids today.
My DS was very gassy after starting solids--woke up shrieking and farting. It was just his system getting used to it. Some foods upset him more than others, so we dialed it back on those until he was a little older and he ended up not having any allergies or sensitivities to anything. Hold off on avocado and try something else next time.
Just want to update: We took the advice and only gave her avocado once in the morning. She is sleeping better. :) We will be trying banana next week and we'll see how that affects her. Thank you.
