(mama to DS, almost 3, and DD, 4 months)
My guy did that too. I decided it was a normal phase . It got liquidy again before we started solids at 7 months, and is now paste-like again with solids. We EC, so I can see that pooping doesn't hurt him. As long as it isn't hard, or bloody (which it never has been) I don't worry.
My guy was also like that pretty much all the way until starting solids. He also was an every few days (once almost 3 weeks) pooper. I think it is the infrequency of the poop which causes it.
My nearly 5 month old has/had similar bowel movements. Like toothpaste almost.
He now has a combination of the toothpaste and wet poos, and what changed for us was me taking fish oil supplements.
Well, that's what I think anyway.
That said, if she's happy and healthy then I'd try not to worry about it?
