First let me just say that I've NEVER done more then a 2 hour stretch of sleep since he's been born. greensad.gif he wakes up to nurse, to jibber jabber, etc. I know if I just got more sleep I wouldn't feel so irritable with him but I don't. Being pregnant again so soon is such a blessing but it's bringing challenges, feeling even more moody and tired.

I just don't know what to do! I hate feeling a lack of patience. I've never gotten a break since we live far from family and my hubby is very busy. I feel myself getting depressed and down on myself, doubting my ability as a mother. I've never "lost it" with him, I just keep bringing myself back to a place of overt patience with what seems like superhuman willpower...but inside I'm worried I am feeling resentful...I miss being super fun mommy. I've also developed an eye twitch which I assume is related to the lack of sleep...

What can I do? He's a high needs baby to the core. Someone suggested night weaning. I also wondered if giving him goats milk before bed would help him sleep better.

I am just wondering now if I've bitten off more then I can chew greensad.gif

You need to start by giving yourself more credit. You are a great mother! We all get irritable and find ourselves short on patience. We are still human beings and babies are tough work! need a break. Stat. I know we all put our children first but we HAVE to take care of ourselves also. Have you spoken with your husband about how you are feeling. Yeah yeah, he is busy...but he is this child's father and your husband, and he also has responsibilities for your and the baby's health and wellbeing. Does he have vacation days? Personal days? Any way he can ease the burden on you for a little while?

Are you happy about being pregnant again?
