My first son was 29 months old and not yet night weaned, but I was out of town for two nights and left him with my sister and they did wonderfully.

My second son is 27 months and so attached to me (and nursing) that I can't imagine leaving him overnight for a long, long time.

I pray for the day Family Court recognizes that CHILDREN have rights, parents only have PRIVILEGES.  Only then, will I know my child is safe.

I totally forgot in my response that I worked night shift one night a week for a year starting when #3 was 7 months old. So she was separated overnight a lot! But she was with DH.

DS born 6/03, DD1 born 9/06, DD2 born 10/10, DD3 born 4/14.

My first baby was 5 months old when DH and I went on our honeymoon. It was just one night, and he stayed with my mother. It was fun, but also a bit hard as I was still breastfeeding, so I got pretty engorged. I'm pretty sure the next time I was away from my kids overnight was when my sixth baby was 6 months old. Some ladies at church convinced me to go on a weekend retreat. I didn't even have fun because I'm shy and didn't know anyone, my breasts leaked all weekend, and when I got home my baby didn't want to switch back to the boob from the bottle. greensad.gif

(My older kids probably did things like spending the night at their cousin's house, but I don't remember how old when they did that. Not babies.)

Michelle, wife to DH, and momma to DD16, DS15, DS12, DS10, DD9, DD7, DS5, and baby girl born Christmas Eve 2013!
