I saw a blog once with really horrid baby products...let me see if I can find it again and post it.

ETA found it!: http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=21431 The tummy tub I like, the worst thing is the weird hand pillow thingy at the very bottom. Ewwww
I SWEAR by our tummy tub!! They used them in Germany in the hospital for the fussy babes that still fuss after being carried in the Stoches by the midwives and it works!!!

Gotta love the germans!!

We have a tummy tub! But I'm in Germany so we got it at the local baby store, I like ours better though because it dips down on one side so you have more access to the baby. DS really liked it as well.

Those bottle proppers are awful! They remind me of a woman I saw in the doctor's office with a tiny tiny tiny baby, not more than 2-4 weeks old who was sick, and a boy around 5 who was sick as well.. she was holding the boy and not really paying attention to the baby who was in a carseat, and she kept shoving a bottle into it's mouth and propping it up to keep it in there. The problem was this tiny baby had a completely stuffed noise and could not breathe!!!! My husband actually stepped in and mentioned that the baby can't breathe out of it's nose and that's a problem when it's mouth was filled with the bottle, and she was like "oh." The baby wasn't asking for the bottle, it was just sitting in it's seat gurgling.

This is so funny. Just what I needed with my insomnia. I actually saw a few things that I so *need*. Like that ride on vacuum. My ds loves the vacuum and is always trying to ride it. That fencing would have been nice when we were living in the rv park. Three kids, yard the size of postage stamp, and generally elderly people driving huge rv's. One kid would run one way and the other would take off the opposite way, it's like they planned it that way. Let's give mommy a heart attack.

It's also good if I am taking both of them in and out of the car at the same time - just a little extra stability and less pain for me.

And FWIW, I bottledfed my twins EBM from the time they came home from the NICU and I never used one of those Podee things or propped a bottle. There are lots of creative ways to give two babies a bottle at the same time. Unfortunately a lot of them aren't very kind to mama's back.

If all this really does is raise the edge of the tub a few inches, couldn't you just put a few inches less water in the tub?

I can understand getting a bracelet for them that does the same thing in case someone kidnaps your child, but it is kind of ridiculous if you use at the park because you have the tendency to forget about your child. :

Giggle Bug Toddler Tracker

What happens if it falls off of them while playing and you find it in the sand. I would be embarrassed if I put this on my child. Seriously!

this thread is a riot! i do belive a lot of great ideas started for people with special needs & were just marketed out to gullible parents out there.

Now i have to say, i've been eyeing a seat belt snoozer. we drive from NY to NC every august & dd's approaching booster age. if it works with a booster, she'd be able to nod off for a while comfortably.

The Wiva-Vac / Baby Vac. Though I have yet to let myself fully believe they're not joking.
