So far, I get my hair cut every time I get fed up with all the shedding. It's SO much hair falling out, and so much more because it's long. This time I would rather wait it out, but how long could it go on?

Mine stopped at 6 months almost on the dot. I kept it long, but I cleaned out a brush full every day. How far pp are you?

I am 5.5 mos. ppd and still shedding like mad!!! It's a wonder I still have any hair left. I think I should have kept it all and donated it to locks of luv or something cause I am sure it would have made a whole freaking wig!!

You know, I saw your thread title and realized, my hair hasn't been falling out as much lately. I can't really say when it stopped. Sometime in the last month or two though, and dd is 10 months.

Great thread timing... I'm almost 4 months pp now, and the shedding JUST started! I thought that somehow I'd managed to sneak past this part of post-partum life, but no... just had a delayed response. Major sheddage here.

I'm approaching 12 mos pp with no sign of less shedding. Maybe something's wrong with me, I don't know. Can stress make your hair fall out?

Mine went from 4 months till 7 months last time. I had a ton of new growth after that but it was really funnylooking because I have long hair. it looked like I had wings.

It went from 2.5-6 months. Thank whatever it has stopped. I have a lot of hair and was tired of having to vacuum 328932 times a day to get rid of it all.

Mine started at 11 weeks, and it seems to be tapering off a bit now at 19 weeks. Still not done by any means, just better. I was never so embarassed as the day I opened a diaper and found a nice chunk of my hair had migrated on through...

Mine didn't start falling out until 3mos PP, and now at 5 1/2 months it's still going strong.

The funny thing is that I didn't feel like my hair got thicker during pregnancy, so I'm kind of wondering if it's ending up thinner than it started!

I'm also shedding lots.

I don't remember when i stop that last times. I did cut my hair both times by 6mths because they were driving me crazy. Can't wait for it to stop.

Started at 3 months pp and still going strong at 6.5 months pp. I think I've lost half my hair! I'm really close to having to get my hair cut shorter to help hide the thinness I have to clean the bathroom floor daily because of the hair everywhere when I brush it and there is usually a few hairs on my kids I'm starting to get slightly worried.

Seven months and still shedding! I hate to see the chunks in the drain because there are so many WHITE hairs in there. : For some reason, they bother me more in that wad in the bathtub than they do on my head.

For some reason your body typically quits shedding hair while pregnant, and then post partem it makes up for it. It is all hormonal, but I don't know exactly what causes it.
