my 7 week old little guy has cradle cap but it's not the dry flakes it's more oily scales (is that still considered cradle cap?) what would you recommend since it isn't the dry kind? I would think oils and such would make it worse since it's already oily. I have been using a warm washcloth then a dry one to try to get it off. I have no problem moving it around since it is oily but it's the getting it off part (if that makes sense ) I was also using a soft toddler toothbrush to try to lift it off but the same thing (just moves it around) any ideas? TIA

oh and I haven't been using any products to clean him other than warm water cloth baths so it's not like its a build up of cleansers.

I rubbed oil all over DC heads, then use a soft baby brush & exfoliate the whole head (or areas), then wash hair, pat dry. You can repeat if needed, but I would wait another day so you don't irritate the skin. The oil I used was apricot oil, but I had it already.

My ds has/had cradle cap just like you described. I've been doing what the pp described but using almond oil since it's what we had. I've done the oil/scrub/wash sequence twice and have gotten almost all of it.

my son has what you described. Honestly I just used a baby comb and brushed it and leave it to air out witout oil. Some of it lefted off and a few days later its all gone.

hope that makes sense and helps.
