My 11 month old sleeps in a separate room the first part of the night and then joins us when he wakes up. I have a monitor because we keep a fan on in our room for white noise. Lately he has been waking up to come in between 4 and 5:30. I thought the monitor was turned on last night and it wasn't

My dh slept on our couch where he would have been able to hear him until five (his ankle was bothering him and making him restless and he didn't want to keep me awake). And we woke up at 7:30. I realized the monitor wasn't on. He was crying He might have been crying since five:

I feel just horrible. Poor guy

awww...i imagine it will haver longer lasting effects on you! that happened when DD was about 10 months. i thought i'd gotten lucky and she was just sleeping really welll...nope...monitor was dead.

i'm sorry you and your son had to experience that.



you are a good mom. and you love your son very much. how you are feeling now reflects how important your bond with him is. those feelings show how deeply you are able to empathize with him.
