I get to start! The one compensation for getting up at the crack of dawn (well, before - 5 am). And this is late compared to last year!

Any other working Moms just SICK of working? We need the $ that I earn beyond the kids daycare, but I am hating it. Plus, Abby has to have 1 bottle of formula a day at daycare because I have tried everything and nothing is bringing my supply up. Any ideas to save me from working hell?

Abby is about ready to really crawl!

Happy November!!!

Could someone please explaine what happened to October -

Yup. I too am sick of working I loved being home with the baby, we definitly can't swing me not working - we are still recovering from my leave I feel like I am missing so much time with DD, so we make up for it on the weekend and the evenings - so not much house work gets done - Oh Well there are better things to worry about.

We've started solids - what a great bit of messy fun, Caitlin loves the time with us at the table.

Here's a funny story from last night:

As DH, the kids, and I were unloading the minivan at my parent's house, a group of kids came down the driveway. One of the boys in the group shouted to his parent: there was a ghost in that house! He repeated it again with the emphasis on "in."

I had to chuckle. My mom has vitiligo so she has no skin pigment from her fingers to her elbows. She also has stark white hair.

I was laughing the rest of the night (to myself because I wasn't sure if my mom would see the humor of her hair.)

Kids say the darnedest things!

Last night, Scout WOULD NOT SLEEP! She was rubbing her eyes like crazy and doing her little "I'm sleepy" fussy whine thing she does right before bed. We would lay down and I would nurse her and she would seem to be drifting off. Then suddenly, she would start squirming and pop off and roll onto her tummy and fuss and rub her eyes. I tried 4 times to get her to sleep by nursing her down and it wasn't working. In between, we would play (but she was too fussy so she wasn't having much fun), I would walk with her and rock her and sing to her. She just kept getting more and more upset. Each time I laid down with her and nursed her, I would think "this is it! She is finally falling asleep!" And each time, she would stop nursing and start squirming and crying again. She didn't go down until 12:30. And she got up at 7:30 this morning. :

The fact that she would pop off and fuss constantly makes me paranoid that my milk supply is dropping.....That, and a lady at church last night said that it looked like Scout is losing weight. :

Awww, that's cute Maximom!

Well, I must have had the only 3yr old in North America who cried when we tried to put his costume on. His grandma bought him a skeleton costume , but he ended up wearing his spiderman pj's and brought a teddybear. (????) Evangeline was a cowgirl, she looked awesome.

My house is a disaster from top to bottom. How does this happen?

story of my life most nights, but G seems to pop of when the milk lets down...like she JUST wants the boob, no milk. I've tried explaining to her that, physiologically, this is not possible. She ignores me.

not really the only one-- kaylo was like that last year! and this year he didn't want to wear his costume or go to the halloween parade! and he would have cried if his costume was a skeleton he was freaked out by a huge broccoli costume last night!

my house is too-- and i have to work on planting 1000s of garlic "seeds" today. :

i'd like to see a cowgirl pic!

mclisa-that's funny! my dad had super white hair since he was in his early 30s and i seem to remember a similar story with him.

I will work on pictures this evening. Usually I don't dress up the baby other than a Halloween sleeper, but we had a hand me down ladybug outfit so S had a few pictures in that.

Sorry to hear about the working moms and their jobs. I like my job (most days). It helps to know that dh is with the girls. It was harder when I was dropping them off at daycare. I haven't had to supplement S yet. With E, I made it a year bf, but she would drink formula at daycare because I couldn't make enough bm. There can be a number of reasons why I'm doing better this time. I'm really motivated by C's allergies and I don't want that repeated. I also have a less stressful job and my own private office to pump in. And I know about Mother's milk tea too.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween. With it being Austins birthday, Abby recovering...it made for one busy day!
Queen, spidy pajamas sound like the perfect costume!
Kewie Abby had a rough night too. I am not sure which is worse. The nights she is up until 2am being fitful, or when she goes down at a decent hour & then is fitful from 2 am on. I think the later, I feel way more tired today. :

November already. I can't believe it. How time flies.
Happy to hear everyone had a fun halloween!
Ronan is a cutie as usual, what a fun costume!
Queen: candy got liam in his costume. Yep. Show us pictures though!! I'll go find mine...

Cute lobster!

I haven't kept up with our April group but would love to re-join.

Grahame-Charlotte will be 7 months on the 9th of November. She chatters, rolls, gets up on all 4's and almost crawls and is generally delightful! No solids yet but will think about that in the next few months. Still co-sleeping but she does nap in a crib.

Life is good! Looking forward to re-connecting with you all. Does Grapejuicemamma (or something like that) still post here??

That's so cute about Kaylo being freaked about the broccoli costume, and nope, candy didn't work here...I guess it's not novelty enough!:
Axel saw a guy in a Scream mask and asked if 'he was the dumb guy who daddy had to take to the dump with his truck'.

first of all I want to give hugs to the working mamas! I feel bad that you have to work when you don't really want to- that must be so hard, especially with breastfeeding- I really take for granted our year maternity leave here, and working from home. We actually live on a very, very slim income, but we also have more social services, so I feel bad for you mama's who have no choice!

Hugs to you too mama! I doubt your milk supply is dropping (unless you're pregnant!. Sounds like something else may be going on with her- teething or something? Eva pops on and off repeatedly until the letdown, and then sometimes after 'for fun'. Can you feel your letdown?
Sometimes if Eva's overtired and I try to nurse her it's a bad idea, because she gets more and more frusterated, and won't hang on long enough to force the let down. In those times I actually have to lay her down and leave her alone, and she'll cry for like 1 minute and then go right to sleep. (this is not cio, I DO NOT do that!). It's just that she was overstimulated, overtired, exhausted and probably overtouched, and just needed to settle down on her own. It's happened the odd time.
Eva seems to be 'growing into' her own weight, I doubt Scout is losing it. She's probably just slowing down, which is normal!
Maybe try to slow down/get more rest and make sure you drink enough??

hi guys happy November!! I am so frustrated with Caroline this week at bed time! she nurses to sleep and i put her down in bed ( my bed, can't even walk away if i put her in the crib anymore) i walk out and 15-30 minutes later shes fussing to nurse again does this like 3+ times! a couple nights in a row she wouldn't even nurse just screamed and dh and i took turns walking with her! its so hard cause i need an hour or 2 to myself at night its my only me time all day long! to night i was like something HAS to change or i am going to SCREAM! when i nursed her back down tonight she woke again before i got out of the room and i just so didn't want my boob in her mouth again, so i just laid there and patted he back she whined a bit and i stopped patting and she settled back down! i think its more she wants body contact then nursing. i know i have gone through this with my others but i forgot how straining this is!!

Halloween i had a fairy, a witch, and a soldier and a baby chick oh and a death eater ( my stepson)! they where so cute, my 4 year old didn't want to dress up he actually refused to wear any thing to his preschool party yesterday! then for trick or treat he wore his black halloween shirt with his camo pants and some black boots and a beret from daddy. he also was done trick or treating after an hour and luckly the friends we where with there youngest son was done to so the grandpa took the boys back to the daddys that where handing out treats.

well time for ER! loved the pics everyone and will post some tomorrow of my crazy kids

Awww, Johnny is so cute! Nice dark eyes!

thanks jocelyndale- I'll pass it along! she coloured it for years and years...

I just love this stage- all the noises. The growls, spitting, sqeals and laughs. Evangeline is ALWAYS laughing, she laughs at ANYTHING. She's so sweet. but she's waking up 3 times a night!!: I gave her some soft boiled sweet potato tonight and she loved it...so hopefully that will hold her over extra long tonight!:
I just lost my voice. Sick again, 2x in 3 weeks. I've been frusterated with Axel, I'm not parenting him the way I want to, he's needing extra attention and just plain out defying me, and not listening.
'Night- oh and I still have to go back to October and check out some pics.
Oh, if only I really could just 'go back to October'. In real life.

oh, here's some of that tongue action/spitting i'm talking about

hey mamas of April 07 babies! I hope its not too late to join you guys. I've been a lurker last month and hoping to post more here and getting to know more of you guys.

my DS2 kinda missed the sitting stage and went to the crawling stage already, he just recently started sitting up for a short period of time. I started feeding a little solids now every other day, he's not too interested in it yet. He does have 1 teeth though, we just passed the teething no sleep phase.

It's very tiring at home with a toddler and baby, I still feel bad that I can't give 100% undivided attention to either of my boys.

I love my boys though, I wouldn't trade anything but being home with them. DS1 is the active outgoing one who can't stay still, and DS2 is the mellow calm and introverted one who gets shoved around by his big bro.

Hope to get to know you guys more!

OMGosh!! All these pics!! I LOVE the lobster!! I can't believe it's November already!!

Hannah's been doing this insane trick where she goes down at 8PM, then wakes up at 9 and STAYS UP till 12:30 EVERY STINKING NIGHT!!! Yesterday, we were up at 5:30AM, got 2 20 minute naps, and then stayed up till 11:00PM!! Needless to say, I kept her up when she wanted to sleep this evening!! I'm just DONE with that!! She hasn't woken up yet, so I have to get to bed soon so she hopefully will just roll over, nurse and go back to sleep when she finally does. I just wanted to check in with you mamas, and let you all know that:

I AM OFFICIALLY GOING TO BE A MILK DONOR!!!! I'm so excited! My supply drop last month was a false scare...I replaced the flanges on my pump, and my supply is better than ever! A mama in need sent out the call, and I'm so happy that I can help her out!!

Aileen, Mama to Hannah James, 4/01/07 Smartest kid I've ever known! And Gabriel Joseph, born at home 3-31-10!! Delaying and selectively vax'ing

Thanks queenofmycastle, for the encouragement. Yeah, the more I think of it, I don't think it's a supply issue because I have been noticing big wet spots on the sheets by her face after she nurses to sleep sometimes - I think she is sucking and then letting the milk run out of her mouth intentionally. Smart little booger! I guess her sleep boycotting/fussiness is just teething. Her bottom front two are poking out pretty far now and I could've sworn today that I saw a little white corner popping through on the top. Is that possible?? :

Welcome, Nonny! Wow - crawling! I bet you really do have your hands full. All you mommas who have toddlers and babies amaze me. I think I've said that before, but you really do. I feel so busy with just one!

Ultimatserj - I dunno what a death eater is, but it sounds cool and interesting. LOL

I put Scout in a humpty dumpty costume for about 2.5 seconds just to take a few pics. She's not a huge fan of getting dressed/undressed and sometimes makes a stink when I put a hat or hood on her head, so I wasn't sure how the costume would go over. I think she actually liked it for a few minutes....but then got cranky. We didn't have anywhere to go for Halloween, but I figured it would be sad if she didn't have any documentation of her first Halloween.

One-armed Humpty

LilMomma83: love the pumpkin pic!

Welcome Nonny! Come and post! I think it will get easier with your 2 boys once the baby is able to play more with his older brother. They'll do things together. In the meanwhile: hugs!

Firsttimepreggers: how often do you have to replace the phlanges? Is that the white piece?

I need to shower. I'll be back when I'm pumping at work.

my DS2 kinda missed the sitting stage and went to the crawling stage already, he just recently started sitting up for a short period of time.
