My Godsister has a 4-month old baby boy and I wanted to get her a creative gift for him. Does anyone have any ideas? I got her a sling right after the birth so thats not needed, but I need ideas for a toy or something creative for the baby. Anything your babies enjoy/ed at that age or that you wish you had gotten? Thanks in advance!

Suggestions for 6-month olds are welcome too because I'd love for him to be able to grow with the toy.

Babies at 4 months like faces... at least mine did... I'm thinking maybe a soft book with different faces in it cut out of felt? That might be fun Or mobiles are fun as well.

Well, four months is still a hair young for it, but my 6-month ds loves balls! You could get a fun assortment of balls, or a nice felt ball...

Also, that's coming up on teething time age, so a nice organic or wooden teething toy might be nice...

Or a special blanket?

Thanks for the ideas so far! Actually by the time he uses it, it will be 5 months, and I would love for him to be able to use it for a few months, so suggestions for 6-month olds are definitley welcome also!

My favourite gift is this personalized book: www.iseeme.com - it's really beautifully done, and can be treasured for years to come

you could always make a blanket or ball like the taggies toys.

I thought it was the silliest thing when I first saw them - but now that I have DD I realize the make is a genius my DD is obsessed with tags, she will sit and play with a pile of clothes just to get to the tags, her favorite part of her stuffed animals -the tag.

So now I am hoping to fit in the creation of a few tagged items
