Okay. We have a photo session scheduled on 2 December. I would like ideas for creative or fun baby photos and poses. Ideas for family/mommy/daddy/baby photos are welcome, too.

If you don't have any of your own you'd like to share, post pics of others' that you have liked or used as ideas.

For example, I found this one on Google:
http://connor.prosise.org/images/0_3.../baby_hand.JPG

This one isn't posed, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH:

I wouldn't mind seeing the owner of that arm, heheh

Check out this newborn pic. AAAWWWWWWWWWWW :

Here he is at one week....

These are a lot of newborn poses but would still be cute for your babe.

I am a children's photographer and have a few baby images in my portfolio and on my blog feel free to check them out. It is a fun age for a photo shoot - good luck! (link in my siggy)

Thanks! I got those taken with a woman who specializes in children's photographs in Indiana. She has been taking our family portraits for years. PM me if you would like her name/ website.

Here are Jack's pics. They're kind of generic, but we're pretty happy with most of them, especially the ones where he's laughing. We have a photographer coming up to the house to do some outdoor family poses. So far, my favorite pictures are the ones I have taken myself.

mine are pretty similar to nathansmama's ones....except my LO wouldn't stay froggied up....too ready to stretch those legs up....or sleep...bc the sleepy newborn ones are great...

i love the black background/parents wearing black so all you see is arms, hands, baby, kisses.......mine didn't turn out well when she was a newborn bc i think we had an inexperienced with infants photographer.....still disappointed with it esp since i meant to do them with dd1 and this is our last....

i have the one in arms, all semi-scrunched on belly, her laying back in my arms facing me and me kissin her nose, one of her over my shoulder laying her head on my shoulder and my looking down on her etc......

i suggest just looking at various online galleries!fessional nursing one with dd1...had to talk them into it but they did it......its one of my most treasured items.....have an extra copy on a disk that goes everywhere with me just in case...

i do have a pro

enjoy the session.......

ONe thing to keep in mind, you little one is going to be 6 months (I am assuming based on your siggy) so the newborn poses that you are seeing will not really work (trust me on this one!) As a photographer I actually LOVE doing 6 month sessions (I have one tomorrow in fact!) because you can get lots of fun looks, espically if your baby can sit well.

Here are some of my favorite images at that age that I have done...

Hope that helps : )

And I was going to link you some from my favorite photogs, but they all seem to use flash so I can't. Harumph. Six-months old is a fun, fun time to shoot photos! Hope you get some great ones!
