My 9 mos old daughter has been saying "Hi" and waving for about 3 weeks, now. She says "Hi" constantly and it is just sooo cute. however, today during her nap she actully said, "HI" in her sleep!! Now that was cutest thing I ever heard!!

What were your child's first words?

DD's first word (one week before her first birthday) was Shadow (our dog) . It was really cute the way she said it with the emphasis on the doh ...& she said it all the time, too.
Then she said mommy & daddy a couple of weeks later .

My ds spoke his two first words in one day. First, he said "ball," but pronounced to rhyme with the man's name, Hal. Then, that night, he shook a rattle and said, "Sake, sake, sake," for "shake."
