Well, the culture is back, positive for salmonella.
She seems to be doing better today.

Oh man. I had salmonella when I was 7. I still remember the pain in my stomach, it was horrible. I never felt more miserable. Keep her well hydrated, lots and lots. I was sick for over a week and lost 15 pounds! Hugs to both of you.

Oh man, that sucks . Poor baby! Poor mama!!

FWIW, next time someone tells you not to nurse because of intestinal illness (vomiting, etc), kindly tell them that BM is a clear fluid and will keep her hydrated so you'll continue to nurse. I can't believe they told you not to nurse and then gave her an IV and water when she got dehydrated!
