For the past few days, my 5 month old baby has not wanted to sleep. Usually she is asleep by no later than 10 pm but the past couple of nights she has fallen asleep at 1 am and wakes up at 9 am. She had one 20 minute nap today so far. She is acting super hyper but happy-- all smiles kicking her feet+hands up in air, laughing, and only gets upset and fusses if I try to put her down for some sleepy time. She has spit up more than usual but I think it is because she is constantly moving around. She is drooling too. Is this related to teething? I am happy she is so happy but concerned she is not getting enough rest.

if it's only been a few days, it's probably something temporary. teething or a growth spurt. if it becomes more than a few weeks, then it might mean something else.

thanks i am almost positive it is one of those. she doesnt want to be carried like she usually does. she is showing all the signs that she is teething. then again, she is trying to crawl.. even though she cant sit up on her own yet.
