OUr thread is pretty big, but I've been wanting to get a snapshot of your baby's age and the weight all in one... So would you mind posting your sweet LO's age and weight (if you know it - you can guess if you like).

'Nara is about 15 lbs and was 4 mo this past Friday.

fun teeny! you inspired me to get on it and get james measured. he's 16.5 pounds clothed and 26 inches long. James will be 5 months on the 8th, so 4.75 months?

17 lbs, 24.5 inches, at exactly 20 weeks old. Funny, he's twenty weeks, but he won't be five months old until 7/9.

Considering he was 6 lb 14 oz at birth and had trouble maintaining his body temperature at the time, I hope I can be pardoned for beaming at his fat little cheeks and sturdy legs. It'd ridiculous of me to be proud, being as this little guy has two short round parents and was pretty much destined to be short and round, but I look at the chub and say I MADE THAT.

writer. i remember feeling that way about dd too! james was almost 9 pounds at birth so he's defiantely on a slower growth pattern! it worried me a bit at first but he's just another variation of normal i've realized!

Great thread Teeny!
On the 24th at L's WBV, which was 1 day before her 4 month b-day....
16lbs 12oz and 25 3/4 inches! She is big enough to fit into the 6 month size, not 3-6 months, but the full 6+ month size! Wow! I can't believe she has grown so much so quickly from her original 7lbs 10oz! She is 2lbs bigger than me at the same age.

Well, i got out of the house and down to Lots for Tots (consignment store) to use their scale for an accurate weight.

Terran is 18 lbs at five months, one week, and five days old. My first attempt to measure him heightwise has him about 28 inches tall, which would be "off the charts" but not exactly unbelievable.

Writerbird, i feel the same way even after being reassured about my previous skinny babies and having their ped's reassurance that there was no dwarfism involved and that they would shoot up during puberty proven correct.

I still love my squishy squishy boy and am not-so-secretly pleased that he is following my own childhood growth pattern; we're giant babies, not baby giants.

Well, I have a skinny string bean boy, but there are reasons for that, poor poppet (low supply and weak suck) He's 20 weeks and 13 lbs, 10 oz. He was 26" at 3 months, so very tall (I think that measurement may have been off, though).

Just a reminder from a struggling-to-BF mama of a little bitty: sometimes it's kind of hard when mamas are really effusive and "YAY" about weight. I know it isn't meant that way, but it can just be hard.

grateful mother to DD, 1/04, and DS, 2/08

Eli was 16 pounds 13 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long at his 4 month appt at the end of May. Today he's 5 1/2 months (22weeks) and my guess is he's pushing at least 18 pounds and has gotten a little longer. His legs not just his thighs are so cute and chunky!

Kizzy was born on Feb 5. She was 6 lbs 1 oz. About a month ago (?) she was up to 9 lbs and change. But since then, she's had a growth spurt, and she's now graduated to 0-3 month clothes (up from NB!). I don't have a scale but my guess is around 11 lbs. She is very active, rolling around, looking at books, talking her head off. She's just a teeny thing.

Here's a pic of her with her "big" brother (who is 15 months old and about 22 lbs): http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...e/DSCF0995.jpg And because she's not super-photogenic in that pic, here's a cuter one. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/j...m/June/002.jpg

I understand, Lorax, that's why I tried to acknowledge with my post that my kid being short and round was purely a matter of genetics. All of our babies are on their own scale and their own time. At least, so I remind myself every time I read about all our early crawlers, when my sweet monkey doesn't even roll over unless I hold the boob away from him!

This weight thread isn't a race, it's a snapshot. It's just too bad we can't get everyone into one place for a group picture

My god - your babies are enormous!!!

Like loraxc, I have a banana baby (tm) at 5 months, he's 14 lbs. 4 oz. and 26.5 inches. Long and lean, just like his mama and daddy were as little ones.

I wouldn't be upset at all about your babe's size, loraxc. It's genetics - and, hey, somebody has to be in the 25th percentile.

me, my man, and our boys (1/08 and 3/11)

Dang, some of ya'll have huge babies!

Anastasia is 18 weeks, and last week she was 26 inches long and 13.5 pounds. She's a cute little skinny thing. She still fits in most of her newborn clothes! But she also fits in 3-6 month, so she has a really big wardrobe right now.

I agree...DD seems so big to me, but she was 4 months as of June 23rd, and she's only 13 lbs. 3 oz. and 24 inches long. I guess she's petite
