Well, we finally found out we're having a girl and so brings up the problem of a name. Our 17mo old DD's name is Allison Catherine, which my DH came up with, because I wanted to call her Allie. So he thought "Allie Cat" would be cute, which it is and I love her name. Her initials are also ACE.

Anyhow, he wants his two girls to be his pair of aces. :LOL But coming up with another good A.C. name has been a little hard. Right now we're just calling her Abigail, but it isn't set in stone. Audrey has also been up there.. but we can't come up with a good middle name! Arrgh, I hate dealing with names, honestly it isn't a big deal for me, but he's forcing me to decide this time since he did with DD#1!

Any ideas?

I love Audrey! What about Audrey Camille or Audrey Corinne? Abigail Corinne sounds good, too.

Just lurking from December, but I like names so much! What about Ava or Amelia? I like Audrey, too. I know a LOT of Abigail and Abby's born last year. You might want to check out the popularity of Abigail unless you're ok with a more popular name.

I've always liked the name Aven (it's the name of a very pretty little white flower that grows in the alpine regions of Europe and North America) but DH doesn't like it so I don't get to use it

What about Charlotte for a middle name?

Postpartum doula & certified breastfeeding educator, mama to an amazing girl (11/05) and a wee little boy (3/13).

Not in your due date club either but love name threads!

I love either Claire or Camille for the middle name, as others have mentioned. Both are just beautiful I think.

I think Alicia is a pretty name, but I wouldn't use anything starting with Al as it will be shortened to Allie which you already have... BUT what about Alexis, shortened to Lexie??? My dd3 is Lexie. Allie and Lexie - cute...

OK, breaking my own advice - I vote for Alexis Camille.

The girl name I originally loved at the beginning of this pregnancy (actually a few months before too) was Audrey Caroline. It flowed so well with our last name and people just loved it too! Dh however, thinks it is just terrible. (he's weird in a lot of other ways too LOL )

So anyway...... all of the suggestions given so far are really pretty. It would thrill me to pieces if you used Audrey Caroline!

I also like Corrine, as was mentioned, or Corrina (like cor-in-a, rather than corr-een-a).

Love Caroline- my best friend's name and on our list...or Carolina.

Annastasia and Annabella are names I like.

doula mama to my nov 05 and my feb 08 babes who wrap me in love.

I vote for Abigail Camille. You should decide on a few names and then do a poll to see which name is the favorite!

Thanks everyone. Me and DH had a discussion last night and we don't really want a super popular name, so we're gonna go back with Audrey. I love Alexandra, too, but he doesn't want another "Al". Still unsure of a middle name, but you've all given us things to think about. I think a one syllable or 3 syllable middle name sounds best with our last name, though. Probably Claire or Caroline. We will see, I guess! Maybe I'll start a poll in a while. :LOL

Visiting from December... my vote for a middle name is Clare. Good luck, its such a hard decision. At least you have a plan, we haven't even started picking names!

Well, DH and I have gone back to Abigail, simply because we'd been calling her that for a month or so and it felt really weird changing it. :LOL It just fits her now.

I'm going for Abigail Camille now, we'll see how that goes. Thanks ladies!
