i'm not sure what it's called...a wrap cross carry i guess? maybe? with the V on the outside. tummy to tummy. once she falls asleep i tuck her head in one side of the V and can do anything, including bend over, etc...it's FABULOUS.

I'm so inspired!! I just got my first wrap -- a Gypsy Mama gauze wrap, and can't wait to try it. But I have to -- I have mastitis and it's probably not a good idea to have a baby pressing against my chest

The wrap cross carry has been awesome for me too! I am using a Didymos in a lovely red. I think mine is a size 5? Wish it were just slightly longer as I can just barely tie it in this wrap. I was using my packababy and Mei Tai, and still am, but they hurt my back. The wrap feels great on my back. It is so supportive and Kali usually falls right asleep. Now I am thinking of getting an Ellaroo or Storchenweige too... I also have a homemade fleece wrap made out of Malden Mills microfleece. It is super wide but also super long and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by it. But now I am getting all inspired all over again!

i had a hot mama wrap (similar to moby - stretchy cotton) but it's too heavy for me...i prever the lighter weave of the ellaroo (similar to storch i guess too)

You don't have to answer this right now, as you're deathly ill...but what length did you get?

not to hijack this thread with my mastitis tale of woe, but this is the 3rd case of mastitis I've had since ds was born (it's not from plugged ducts but a nipple infection). Gross, I know. I am doing a combo of echinacea and vitamin C, soaking, and ickickick!! antibiotics. :

On a happier note -- my GM wrap is a size 5 Morgaine -- I LOVE the design.

If I end up being competent enough to wrap, I would love a Storch Leo... probably in red. (drooling)

Leah, I am so sorry. I've had mastitis three times this time around too. It just really sucks, and I hate doing antibiotics especially when I am nursing. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I have a gypsy mama water wrap on the way. I am really excited to try it, but I have to admit I am a bit over whelmed by the whole wrap thing. Hopefully I can get the hang of it.

thanks everyone for the kind wishes...

Shannon, I'm sorry you had to go through it too... you hang in there! I don't feel so bad, I felt like the only mama in the world who could get it three times in a row... :

There's nothing like having someone demo wrapping in person. Do you all have any babywearing groups near you? We have a very active NINO group in my area, and I am hoping to go some time soon to get some help with the wrapping.
