I voted occasionally. Once in a while I'll have a single drink during the day - I don't see a problem with that.

Alone with the baby .....never.
I drink maybe 2 drinks tops if my fiance is home and I'm bored.

I think there's anly an issue if you drink IRESPONSIBLY around your children...and say for instance you get carried away and cant take care of your children because your smashed. Then theres a problem.

I agree. I don't drink alone, period (kids awake or not) but I want to be able to take care of them myself, and to be honest, I'd imagine seeing mama falling down drunk would be pretty scary to a little one. I'll have a drink or two if we're visiting friends (and I'm not driving) or vice versa, or maybe a beer or two at dinner and as we're getting them into bed, but I don't want them to notice any changes that could make them upset.

A happier, mellower, more patient mama after one glass of wine isn't a bad change though.

Never when I'm alone. I'm a lightweight and if anything happens, I want to be completely sharp (as much as that entails for me. lol). I might have something like a tirasmoothie when we're out, but in general, I don't drink in front of my kids. Maybe when they're older. I do revel in a glass of wine though the minute they're out!

Don't trust anyone under 5! Mom to 3 boys under 5. Blogging to save my sanity.
