I posted here a few weeks ago about DH and I needing to make a will regarding what will happen to our girls should we both unexpectedly croak.
Well, DH and I talked about it, and I was nervous, but I talked to DSS's mom and stepdad, and my aunt and uncle, and asked them if we could name them in our will as potential guardians to our children.
I said they could say no and I wouldn't take it personally, and that if they needed time to think about it I understood.
Neither one of them missed a beat. They both used words like "sweet" and "honored" and "so glad you think of us that way".
So happy that's over and it went well. So relieved. Just thought I'd share.
