: That's me, too. People who don't know me can't tell that I'm pregnant at all. In a few more months, I'll just start to look huge, and people will start asking if I'm pregnant and be shocked when I say that I'm due in a month or two because they never noticed it before. If you know me well, you can tell that my body is different but not necessarily how... people can tell that I've lost a fair amount of weight, but my lower belly seems a little bigger... It's mysterious. I think it's kind of fun, though. When I got pregnant with BeanBean, strangers could tell that I was pregnant around 11 weeks. This time, nobody will be able to tell until I"m damn near seven months. That's brilliant. It makes the whole "when are you due?" phase a lot shorter, as well as the "can I touch your belly?" :

Where did all the photo updates go??? Here's my latest, taken at 20 weeks & a day. Nothing covers my belly anymore. It's a little annoying, especially since we're heading into winter. I was always big like this in warm weather before. I have so much growing to go - I just don't know what I'm going to wear!

Great bellies

Here is my latest, 20 weeks picture

Luckily I am pregnant the same time of year as I was with DS so I have all my tops and jumpers form him to snuggle into. I can definately see how being big over the summer months is easier clothes wise though!

LOL! I'll bet half the mamas on the board envy your big beautiful belly! There's absolutely nothing "freakish" about it!
I'm going to have to put my updated photo. I feel like I look bigger than most who have posted (though probably not quite to where you are yet )

Well I AM bigger than my 16 week photo, but it's just hard to tell in the picture. I look a lot the same, but I am rounder. And now people in public can obviously tell. I'm getting used to the concerned stares...

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/hairdi...cd.jpg&.src=ph

And I just got finished doing my yoga in the photo, so if I'm glowing that's why.. I didn't feel like making myself up for the picture. :P

Also I thought I'd put in there some of my ultrasound shots. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/hairdi...cd.jpg&.src=ph
The first two in the album are from about 2.5 months. The last three are more recent at about 4.5 months. It's kind of hard to make out but the baby is biting his nails, like my husband does. Must feel nervous from being looked at so much.

Here's mine..I'm 24 weeks tomorrow. Everyone thinks I'm due next week. I get comments all the time about how I won't make it to April 1st. Yes, I've gained 24 pounds but do I really look big? Be honest.

I don't think you look any bigger than me, if that helps! I think I'm probably a little larger (and at 22 weeks) although I still need to have dh take my pic so I can post it. I had a mw appt. the other day and she said I just had a lot of amniotic fluid right now. I'm figuring that as the baby grows larger things will even out a little (I don't anticipate always having this ratio of fluid to baby, kwim?). It's probably something like that for you too.

Thanks.
I think that it is combined with the fact that I am so low. I was higher about a month ago and seem to have dropped some already. People just think I'm farther along.

You don't look *that* big to me. I know that I was bigger than that at 24 weeks with BeanBean. In fact, I probably look about that big now, though most of it is a layer of fat.

burke-a-bee - You are not very big. I was at least triple your (belly) size or more when I had ds. Although you're a bit skinnier than me, so even with bellies the exact same size/shape it'd look bigger on you than me. If that made any sense at all. I swear this kid is sucking out my brain; much like ds did through his years of nursing.

burk-a-bee: I have NO idea who is telling you that, but you don't even look like you could already be due. That is so wrong of people to tell you that. I think you look cute with your little bump. That makes me mad that people are telling you that. How aweful. I think you look great!!!

Seconded, burk-a-bee. Your tummy looks a lot like mine and I'm behind you, so I wouldn't worry about it. Our tummy's are going to be what they are and people making comments aren't going to do anything about it... It looks good on you too.

**********************

Yesterday someone in the office said in a sing-songy voice "you're getting bigger" and I sung back "it's better than getting smaller"! Well what am I supposed to say? I don't mean to sound bitchy, I just come off that way sometimes... But really what are you supposed to say... Yes, I'm bigger?!? And?

Maybe I'd respond better if someone said, "You're getting bigger and you look great."

Thanks! I can get a bit paranoid. Especially when I hear posts about how people have gained 5 or 10 pounds by now. I'm already pushing 30 and not slowing down. But I usually have big babies.
Thanks again!

Just imagine having a belly that big and trying to explain to people that you've actually *lost* weight. Everyone around me was totally convinced that BeanBean was twins.

Hey - I'm back with some new pics. Here I am at exactly 23 weeks (there are 2 new photos there to see). So 2 days in a row now I've had a stranger say something to the effect of, "Due soon?" I know I'm big but I don't look THAT big do I? Certainly not like I'm ready to pop! It's kind of weird to have people commenting like that so early on.
