I just can't explain how painful carrying such a large belly around is (on top of my poor back to begin with). My sacrum is shot and I have symphasis pubis dysfunction, so moving and walking in general is enough to bring tears - particularly if I've been resting for awhile first (once I'm up and moving it's not so bad, although I move like a freakin' turtle, I'm so slow!). It's just hard at this point.

I'm officially larger then I've ever been (comparing to 39 week pics with dd2 and my belly cast from when I was 37 weeks with her).
Can I just tell you that my belly looks exactly like yours.

My belly has actually gotten smaller because I'm losing weight again. How freaking depressing, to look *less* pregnant than I did a month ago...

I DID IT!

I'm obviously bad at taking pictures of myself, but at least it's something! It took me like 20 minutes to get one non-blurred pic inclusive of my face. So I'm kinda hunched ova, but you get the idea!

Here is sydney & I in our 35 week glory:

Such cute bellies! Mine is itchy, but like I said I look a lot smaller. I actually tried on maternity jeans at the Gap outlet and God help me, but I was a 12. I haven't worn a 12 in at least 5 years. *At least*. :

I can't believe it's almost over though

My first was a boy and when i was carrying him he was stuffed up so high lol and my girl she was low around my hips he's just out there straight out!! Makes momma very uncomfortable, but the light is near ya know

Thanks for the compliment, i sorta feel like a whale mostly hehe

Super cute! I'm going to try to get some good pics taken this weekend. I'm afraid of going into labor before I get at least one more set.

There are two there!

I can't believe how lazy I have been this time with taking belly pics, with #2 I have one for each week...I should find those and compare...hmm wonder where they are!

Here's me at 36 weeks & 2 days (2 new pics there). My dh can't figure out the focus button for the life of him, apparently. What's ridiculous is that's one of my new tops that's supposed to be made for moms of twins - it covers my belly no better than the others.

pfamilygal - I just adore that pic of you w/your dd in the sling! So sweet!

Erin - I wish I could get my younger dd (2) to stand still for a pic w/my belly. Best I got was her attempting to lick it yesterday (I asked for a kiss - she thought licking would be funnier). Kids!

You all look awesome! I forget what a normal full term belly looks like.

It's actually not even a sling - it's just my shirt. I didn't discover slings until baby #3.

And your twin belly is too cute, love-homebirthing. It looks just like a beach ball. Mine is very square and refridgeratorish looking.

My belly still looks considerably smaller than it did. Last night in the car, Mike gave me crap about not eating enough protien. It's been really hard because my teeth have hurt so much, and most of the things I want to eat are bland carbs (Cream of Wheat, etc) and very low in sodium, so it puts most of the high protien foods out of my list of cravings. I said something about this one maybe being my nice, 8 pound baby and Mike said, "There's no way in hell, you're just not eating enough protien for that to happen" and I almost burst into tears.

My teeth are feeling a bit better today, but I still can't tolerate the salt (which makes sense, I often have salt aversions during the last month of pregnancy, and since this one has been so stressfull and I've actually had swollen feet, I have no trouble believing that my body is sending a very direct message about salt..) so I'm not sure what I'll do...

How about a protein shake Eilonwy? A whey based protein powder in milk adds 20 grams in one serving, and seems nice and carby. Also, eating enough salt and protein will actually cut down on the swelling, salt helps maintain proper fluid levels (although no matter how much salt I eat I still have swelling this time around).

eilonwy. I agree with Jennifer C. Protein shakes are easy to take as a supplement. I drink about 3-5 a day. The one I take is 22 grams of protein and then I add whole milk which ups that protein. I put 1 cup of milk, half a banana and a teaspoon of choc. syrup in it. Then its not so bad. You can put as much choc. syrup in it as you like, I'm just not supposed to have too much sugar. Oh, and Spiru-Tein is said to be the best tasting if you have a choice.

Anyway, here is my 35 week 5 day pics. I'm 36 weeks today, I forgot about the pics in my camera. http://steckfamily.blogspot.com/

I can't drink milk, I'm allergic to milk protiens. I've been trying to drink soy, but it's expensive as all get out and money is unbelievably tight these days.

My protein powder actually says to mix it with water, but I think it's better with milk. I guess the whey protein might be a problem for you though hey? Unfortunately there are some negatives associated with soy milk and unfermented soy products , if you do a search for soy dangers there's lots about thyroid/reproductive organ implications out there. Sorry to mention this with your current difficulties already!
