I have read several places that it's bad for baby if you get food poisoning. What problems does it cause?
It's not like I was at a restaurant or anything I was at my SIL's. I've only gotten sick on chicken in the last 10 years so I know that's what it was, plus I was burping it before it all came up.

Please ease my mind. I'm so careful about what I eat, but when the people who cook it is your own family it's kinda hard not to trust them that they will cook it thoroughly. Maybe I need to bring a thermometer where ever I go to make sure it is warm enough in the middle.

Thanks,
Cathy

Oh, it's so hard not to be paranoid! Did you call your MW?

I would also call my MW. But it might just be the stomach flu?
There are many cases going on around here. My dd and I caught it last week.
Are you the only one who got sick? Did you SIL or DH or anyone else who ate it get sick too? If you are the only one, I'm guessing gastroenteritis not food poisoning.
Hope you feel better.

I had a MW appt. today, but yes was super paranoid yesterday. It was the chicken for sure. In the last ten yrs the only times I've gotten sick was b/c of chicken. I'm just super sensitive I guess. No one else got sick, but me, but I'm not surprised. I only threw up once so it definately wasn't the flu, but the stomach acid burned my throat. It still hurts.

MW didn't seem too worried about it today so I guess it's not too big a deal. I will definately be more careful in the future, like I always try to be, but somehow slip up with the chicken every once in awhile. Sigh..... :

Sorry this happened Cathy . I understand being supersensitive, my stomach is also and food that upsets me wont cause DH the slightest pain!

Maybe go veggie out and about and only eat meat you have cooked yourself?

Glad you saw your midwife and she is not worried

I am sorry that you had this happen! But I say if your midwife wasn't concerned, then it should be okay. Probably because you brought it back up. Your body knew what it was doing! Hope your throat isn't sore anymore at this point, but if it is, I hope it goes away very soon!!
