Anyone heard from her? Hope she is holding her sweet baby, and too busy to check in.

Hi there.... OMG, I feel bad that I never looped back in to post an update. I've been busy cuddling my new babe!

Jett Errol arrived on 4/26 at 5:14 PM. 8lbs, 8 oz, 21 inches. Looks just like Daddy and both his siblings.

I finally went into labor at 42w4d after taking blue and black cohosh. Labor was mostly manageable and fast. A total of 14 hours, but only 4 hours of very fast active labor before I was complete. We did a last minute transfer to the hospital and I ended up with another c/s. There was lots and lots of meconium in my fluid and by the time I was fully dilated, his heart rate was dropping really low (~50) and taking longer and longer to rebound between contrx. Our local hospital has a no vbac policy but they surprisingly offered me a chance to push him out if I wanted to. However, at that point, the decels were freaking me out and I really just wanted to get him out. I was afraid pushing might take too long and I just didn't want to take the chance of anythng happening to him. I knew he needed to get out of that mec asap and the c/s seemed like the safest option. Turns out the cord was wrapped around his neck pretty tight, so I really feel like I made the right decision.

Here are some photos of my new cutie. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...8AaNWbZy1cNWKw The other kids are adjusting really well to the new addition. We're all in love!

Thanks for asking about me, and again, I apologize for being a flake about posting an update.

Oh, I am so glad to hear that things turned out well. I am sorry that you didn't get you HBAC, but so happy that you trusted your instincts and did what was best for you and Jett.

Oh, Congratulations!! What a gorgeous baby you have!!

Your birth sounds a lot like my experience (mec., decels and c/s). I had also planned a HB. It's tough letting go of that dream, but it's great that you were able to to the best thing for your baby! I hope you are processing it really well & I wish you all the best for your healing!!
