I'm having a hard time eating. Nothing sounds good. Except salty snacks (mostly potato chips or corn chips) sometimes. Just wondering what's working for you...

I'm doing pretty good on cereal (the worse the better ... chocolate lucky charms anyone?! :LOL) and mac & cheese. This is totally new for me; with both boys I don't remember any strong appetite adversions like this. It seems if something is high carb and either sweet or salty (like cereal, pasta, or chips), then I'm okay. I'm just worried about poor bean in there getting addicted already to junk food! Here I had such high hopes of eating so healthy, but now I'm just happy to eat something!

I used dehydrated fruit as snacks. They're tasty and portable

I am all about salty and protein right now. So snacks have been Annies organic mac n cheese with some tomato soup. MMM good, and not too unhealthy.

Hmm ... tomato soup actually sounds really really good right now. I'm hoping that my body settles down in the next few weeks and I'm able to reincorporate healthier stuff again ... maybe it's just that yucky-feeling-I-need-comfort-food thing right now.

Nothing sounds good to me at all. I just get to the point where I am too hungry and force myself to eat. It is like my tastebuds stopped working. I'm getting some protein powder tomorrow and will try some smoothies and see how that works. I used to love them and it is so hot lately.

mimid - I'm with you! Seems like nothing sounds good and then I get so hungry, I have to force myself to eat.

I am definitely not eating as much as I usually do, just don't have the appetite which is totally new for me during pregnancy. Of course, slice and bake chocolate chip cookies always sound good, but I'm still not eating as many of those as I normally would. Always open to ideas so I'll keep reading.

Sounds like I'm just like the rest of you wonderful women. I'm having difficulty finding anything that sounds good to eat as well. Food just doesn't have the same pleasure power it used to. Bummer. I am finding myself craving the salty carbs as well. Saltines have been my savior this past week and a half. No, not the most nutricious, but at least it keeps me from passing out or throwing up Granola bars, cereal, and pasta have also helped a bit. I'll definitely be ready for this stage to be over!

everything and anything. Right now my favorite that Im avoiding is crackers with chive and onion or just plain old cream cheese. Im also into carbs especailly since my dr said to stay away from them. Spinach dip and french or hawiian bread was also calling my name. Or heck just plain old french bread and butter...yummmm! Im doing ok on the sweets though. (only one bite of the heathbar brownies I made last night, and none of the apple cider doughnuts I bought this weekend). Im really trying to be good and not snack, I really cant afford to gain a lot of weight. My first pregnancy I had a HORRIBLE sweet tooth, but only gained 20lbs....Im hoping that it will follow suit this time. But it seems just looking at food I gain...ARG! So I guess in other words, I have no problem eating. I almost wish (Im sure I will be biting my tongue for saying this) that I had some morning sickness so I could loose a pound or two. Bad mommy for thinking that. Hope you all get your appetites back soon.

Right now I'm drinking hot tea by Sensational Seasons call Tension Tamer and it has calmed my stomache down a lot and has no caffine. I'm also eating things like Malt-o-Meal or Cream of Wheat with a little brown sugar. Nothing ever looks good to eat and I have morning sickness ALL DAY LONG!!! So much for calling it morning sickness. Even though this is my third, the morning sickness is the worse part of the whole being pg!!! I need to go to Burlington Coat Factory or Motherhood and get some of those morning sickness lolliepops. I found out about them right before the end of my second pg. I'm craving a lot fo water too.
