I'm due late June - Mothering Forums

Hi, I'm Cathryn and I'm PREGNANT! And very optimistic that this one will be sticky! I'm taking progesterone to hopefully help me keep this baby.

I was totally sure of my due date, June 27th, based on my chart, but then I had an ultrasound and it said I'm a week ahead of what I thought, so that would be June 20th. So I'm either 6 or 7 weeks today (Tuesday). I wrote a post about the due date thing here:

if anyone wants to give an opinion.

At any rate, I am extremely nauseated, although not throwing up, except one day. I wish I could throw up though, because I actually felt better when I did. I also feel better when I eat, but that's hard because I don't want ANYTHING. I mean, I'm kinda hungry, but nothing ever sounds good. For awhile I was craving and eating dark green leafy salads with lots of good veggies, but now the thought of that makes me ill!

Anyone have any wonderful cures for morning sickness? Well, all day and night sickness, to be more accurate!

Glad to be here. Hope I get to stay. I joined the May due date club last month, but had to leave when I started bleeding at 5 weeks.

Oh, more about me, I'm 24, a stay at home mom, and live in Provo, Utah.

Congrats and best wishes! As for the m/s... different things wrk for different gals. For me, a slice of deli sandwich meat or half a turkey frank does wonders... last pg it was saltines, and the one before that it was a steady supply of pickles

U/S due dates and weights can be totally bogus--I say go with your personal instinct. I had a friend that was induced because the u/s said her babe weighed 13lbs, and it turns out she was only 9! Well, "only"....

I have been nauseated on and off as well. throwing up does make me feel better, but like you I have only puked once (sorry, TMI ) I can't find anything to help me cause everything I think of makes me feel nauseous....it is a vicious cycle! Maybe a carbonated beverage??? I am not a soa drinker AT ALL, but I had a glass of cola the other day and it tasted really good....helped settle my stomach.

Welcome Cathryn! As for the due date, they can keep changing. I had an IUI so we are pretty sure of when conception happened and my 1st u/s showed the babes were on track, but at the last one they pushed me back a week.

Welcome! For me, the motion sickness bracelets worked wonders last time...so far I haven't had to use them this time around..
