I'm 10 weeks along and have now started spotting. It is very light pink and only on the TP. I'm not sure weather I should be worried or not? yesterday we cleaned and organized my DS room so I was doing a lot of bending and light lifting . My back has been sore since last night and the spotting started about an hour ago.Any advice would help Thanks Heather

It's probably just from the overexertion ( I had that happen in my last pregnancy) but a call to the Dr. or Midwife to put your mind at ease couldn't hurt That's why they are there!

If you begin bleeding, or start having cramps, call your doctor. Hopefully teh light pink spotting is nothing. Honestly, if you're worried, call your doctor, You're paying them, make them work for you.

As long as it's not heavy and no cramps then don't worry. Some women do spot a bit during pregnancy.

Light pink is an ok color to see. You can call your doc or midwife and go in if that will help you feel better. Also, have you had sex recently? (you don't have to tell me, you can just think about it). I know that I spot light pink everytime I have sex. Kick your feet up and take a rest though, that certainly won't hurt.

The spotting stopped on Monday but has come an gone all week tonight the spotting turned red and I have some pain in my lower left side (I had an US 2 weeks a go and its not ectopic, saw hb 140 bpm) that's going down my leg. I called my MW and they are going to try to set up an US tomorrow but with it being Friday I might have to wait till Monday

They did an US today and didn't even show me the screen they said the MW will call me today. At 4 she called and said they saw a 12 week (I thought I was 11) fetus but no fetal heart rate. I am putting off the D&C till the end of the week to give my body the chance to do its job. There was no other mention of the pain I'm just in shock we saw the HB so miscarriage was a 2% risk now

I'm so sorry about your baby. When I had a m/c a couple of years ago, we had also seen the h/b, and it had seemed so reassuring. I really think that "risk of m/c drops after seeing the h/b" theory is very misleading. I just don't think those statistics can be right, because it seems like so many of us have m/cs after seeing the h/b.

Of course, it's really a moot point, because whether you're in the 2% group or a 20% group, it's still a tragedy. I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in going through this. I hope your body realizes what needs to be done, and that you heal as quickly as possible, both physically and mentally.

I'm so sorry sweetie. I just went through a m/c myself in September. I was only 5 weeks though. I got pregnant again right away, but I have been so nervous this time around. I sure hope you can handle it okay and you get lots of support from those around you.

My bleeding is heaver this morning its almost as though my body was waiting for confirmation to let it go. I'm a little scared. Will it hurt a lot? my MW said mild cramping but I know they like to underplay stuff.DH and I have been going over the past 2 weeks looking for why. One of my daycare kids had roseola last week my MW is testing me Monday for 5th disease because she feels that the roseola was probably 5th. We have decided to not tell the parents if it was 5th because we don't want them to feel bad. By the time they would have found out what it was I would have been exposed anyway. We are prepared to never know why. Some times that's just the way the big plan goes. Thank you all for your support. The kind words really do help.

Heather,
I, too, have been down the road of miscarriage. I also have been down other roads. After having a miscarriage in January, I got pregnant in February and saw my son's heartbeat at 6 weeks. He was doing so well... I guess his ultimate plan was to help me feel better after the loss and he helped me to understand that life cannot always be as we want it to be. After I had my son, I realized that he had a purpose, and he had fulfilled it. He had shown me so many things in such a little time. While I may not have been happy with the outcome of either situation, He taught me so much, and I will never forget the lessons that he taught. They came for a reason, it is up to us to figure out what that reason was....

Love and take care,
Mary

The pain was bad if I would of known the pain was that bad I would have opted for the D&C at the beginning. I feel much better now emotionally and physically. Thank you all for the support and good luck
