leg cramps...

Dammit dammit dammit. At least with #1, I only woke up with them in the middle of the night! As long as I drank some OJ before I went to bed, I did okay. Last night, I had a huge glass at about seven o'clock. Two hours later, we had to delay watching The Sopranos because I couldn't sit down. I stopped pacing long enough to sit on the toilet, and I could actually watch my leg twisting around from the cramps. We're talking from-the-knees-down charley horses. Both legs. Twenty minutes. I used the time to drink more OJ (between DS and I, we went though two quarts in a day) and made it though the night, except for the inevitable potty wake-up calls that result from so much fluid. At least it doesn't hurt to pee. :

ouch!! I had these with DD. I have not had them yet, knock on wood, but I've read that taking calcium and eating foods rich in vital minerals and calcium help. Maybe taking the calcium and drinking infused Nettle about 22 oz a day has helped me. Just a little advice. I hope they go away for you. They hurt like a !!$#@@%^!!

Are you drinking enough water? For me, the only time I get them (pregnant or not) is when I haven't been drinking lots of pure water.

Are you taking in any magnesium? And bananas (potassium) are good too.

OJ supposedly has more potassium in it than a banana does. I think V8 has even more than OJ does, but there's an awful lot of sodium in it. Low-sodium V8 is beyond nasty, so I don't think it's an option. I'll muddle through somehow!
