I've been contracting for a couple hours now, some are a bit painful but as long as i'm sitting on my rear they are fine. The last few minutes i've noticed something, my poor vagina HURTS! yo yo baby dropped again this evening and is pushing down, is it just the pressure from her causing it?

I've been going through the same thing but baby's head isn't even engaged yet so it's not from that. But since you say yours has dropped, it's probably all the pressure from it. I THOUGHT that's what mine was from but @ my home visit last Tues. she checked me for the 1st time and baby isn't even engaged. Needless to say I was a bit shocked. And as a matter of fact, baby is/was breech! : I think h/she turned yesterday though! : I'll find out tomorrow at my app. hopefully.

I hear ya--I had that tonight too. Not cervical twinges but actual vaginal ouchies. I thought we didn't have that many nerve endings in there??

The only thing I could figure was that it was actually pelvic pain. If you reach inside, you can feel the edges of the pelvic rim, where the baby's head rests when it is engaged.

Also, I've had a lot of tummy upset, so maybe it was lower GI? But it really felt vaginal... I dunno
