So Keira is a funny looking dog, and everyone is always asking her breed. Our best guess is some kind of herding mix, cause she has some herding behaviours, but other than that, no idea. Her fur is sable, though her saddle markings have faded out as she's matured. She's got ticking on her paws and muzzle, and feathers on her tail, hind legs, and these goofy big feathers on just her elbow joints. She also has airplane ears, they're a lot like greyhound/bc ears.

Tell me what you think!

Her as a puppy, yes her ears were the same size they are now, I told you she was goofy looking.

yeah, I see Collie. Those spots on her front legs are suspect, though...could be acd or aussie...
She is cute, though.
Her body is so wiry and lanky, reminds me of some hound.
Sorry I am not much help.

She reminds me of my Bears. He is a rescued leonberger from a puppy mill. People always say he looks like a shepard/golden mix. We rescued him when he was 1+ yrs old, so we have no way of knowing what he looked like as a puppy (or if he's actually a leo). He's also got "airplane ears", feathers galore, and his tail curls in a feathery plume.

What ever she is, she sure is cute!

I'd say Border Collie for sure, maybe Shepard / Golden, although Leonberger looks like a possibility - however there aren't many of them around so it would be pretty unusual. The spotty legs make me think Australian shepard or cattle dog, but it could be one of the setter or spaniel breeds that get spots too. I think with some of these mixed breed dogs, you get so many influences that they start looking like something else - I've got one like that to.

They do look a like! His nose is longer that hers though. I googled Leos, and she's much lighter than the pure breeds, different midsection as well, so I don't think she's got any of that in her.

Yeah, she's probably a mix of tons of different breeds and mutts, nothing so straightforward as mom was X, dad was Y.

She comes from the breed called "Absolutely Gorgeous"!

I pray for the day Family Court recognizes that CHILDREN have rights, parents only have PRIVILEGES.  Only then, will I know my child is safe.

I'm seeing Shepard, Blue Heeler, and Collie with maybe some Golden thrown in. Yikes!

Edit: Scratch Blue Heeler. One of the other herding/cattle dogs though.

No guess here (I go to SevenVeils for guesses anyway) - but she's cute and crazy looking!
Making me want a dog even more...

Whenever I see dogs with airplane ears and feathering, I think of those fire monsters from Labrynth who take off their heads, I used to have a catahoula mix like that and boy do I miss that crazy dog

She is adorable - especially the puppy shots - but I have to admit I 'd at the face shot! I bet she has the softest silkiest ears.
I agree with some sort of collie, maybe even some Irish setter? (the tail....) and some sort of spaniel or pointer - she is definitely a very "Mixed" mix!
Our Black lab/border collie had spotted paws, the collie part can do that. She had a similar tail, too, actually.

I love that movie, she does king of look like them. And her ear/face fur is so soft. People love to pet her because her fur is so soft and fluffy. she is happy to oblige them!

Thanks Crystal! Yeah, she's pretty fit. it's kind of scary how much energy she has. She went for a long run with my partner a while back (about 5 miles) and was asking for more when they finished! crazy mutt
