Hi!

I was going to get it for our guy, but the bag is too big for one cat to finish before it goes stale, I think. We ended up getting Taste of the Wild, a grain-free food, from the feed store. Felidae, which Olsen's has, is a good food, and very reasonably priced. Have you checked the foods at Olsen's Grain?

I use Kirkland dog food and like it. I have fed everything from raw for years to $$$$ kibbles, but have settled on Kirkland. My dog does not better or worse on Kirkland than she did on raw and it is a heck of a lot cheaper. I don't know the ingredients in the cat food but the dog food is pretty good so I would assume it carries over to the cat food???

I have my 12 year old and 6 year old cats on it and they like it and have had no problems They are both healthy, healthy skin, fur, eyes, etc.

I think it is a good, solid food.

I also give them both about a teaspoon of wet food each day as well.

Prescott, AZ here!

No, i didnt check Olsens grain. I will though.

Both these cats eat ALOT, and im feeding them Natures recipe. I walked in to petco the other day and was astounded at how high the prices are for EVERYTHING, including food. When I first started on NR, it was 16.99, now its $24! for an 8lb bag! Even Calif Natural from Olsens changed their bag from 20lbs to 15lbs, but the price stayed the same! And I checked online and its the same price, so I know its not just the store.

with 2 cats, eating as much as they do, I thought the Kirkland might be a better deal. I dont think the food will go stale. I bought those cool pet food containers that seal tight......

thx for the responses!

wow! I lived in Prescott/Chino for nearly 6 years and just moved in October. I knew 3boobykins was in the area, but not anyone else. Crazy.

If they're eating a lot and you have the right container, it sounds like the big bag will be fine!

Wow, $24 for an 8 lb. bag? That's crazy!

I was walking around the store, and the prices on most things are so jacked up! Cat/dog treats and toys are like triple compared to target or walmart.

I chose it after debating with myself and DH over what I was willing to feed my cats. They ate wet food (Wysong) for the longest time, but it was expensive. I found the Kirkland brand after switching my dogs to Kirkland's Lamb and Rice. They are doing great on it. I still give raw meat on a weekly basis though.
