I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to prepare our dog before the rabies vaccine. I'm nervous about it (my childhood dog had a reaction.) I've heard homeopathy can help prepare her body and help her tolerate it better. But I'm having a hard time finding the info online. If anyone knows specific remedies, or other tips on prepping her little immune system, I'd love to know. Thanks so much!

What type of dog do you have? It is more common in small breeds than larger to have a reaction. We will often have the dog stay with us for a couple hours to monitor. With a history of reactions we will give a benadryl inj prior to injection.
BTW in 14 years in the field I have seen maybe one or 2 serious reactions and a handful of mild ones.

You can give your dog the homeopathic nosode Lyssin following a rabies vaccination, it should be given within a few hours after the vaccination.

Lyssin is the homeopathic one...you can also give the herb milk thistle after to help them detox.

I would also make sure to not give it at the same time as other vaccines, and of course, not if the dog is sick at all.
