We just got our second foster dog, she is a chihuahua cross: http://www.abetterlifedogrescue.com/?p=3973

I'm just looking for advice on dealing with a very fearful, timid dog. She is terrified of other dogs and tries to run away when she sees them. When they do approach she growls and snaps at them.

We took her on a 2 hour hike yesterday and I started giving her treats when we saw other dogs coming. By the end of the hike she would keep walking towards them, although she would still freeze when they got closer. Still, that was some progress. I noticed last night that she has some scars on her face, I wonder if she was attacked at some point. I want to do as much as I can to help her become more confident, so that she can find a family to adopt her.

Finally pregnant with #1 and #2! Due September 9th, 2014
