We have a two year old cockapoo and ever since we got him as a tiny puppy, he has gotten itchy and sneezy right after eating his dog food.  Right when he's done eating, he starts rubbing his face all over the carpet or his dog bed and he sneezes sometimes too.  Is this normal, or kinda weird?  He has always also been super itchy all over his body.  He doesn't have fleas and the vet has checked his skin to make sure it's okay, and it is.  Oh, and he has always eaten healthy dog food... Taste of the Wild and currently Acana.

Any ideas on why he is so itchy and why he seems to react to food like this?

I've had healthy dogs do this too. I think it's a form of "clean up". Wipe your face (on the carpet), clear your nose (sneeze on everything).  It may just be his personality. I always thought it was endearing when my dog did it.

If you were motivated, you might be able to teach him to wipe his face on a towel. That'd be pretty cute.
