In the best of all worlds, you would leave Nature's Miracle treated areas uncovered to dry.

But what if you need to treat a mattress? Can you flip it over to so the dry side is up, and put the treated side on the boxspring? Will it develop mold or mildew?

just put it in a spray bottle and mist it, instead of soaking it. then just leave it open to the air for the day. if it's not dry by night, throw a towel over it for the evening. I've done this a few times and it works fine.
