I love my cat to pieces, but she has this really annoying problem of sleeping right on or above our heads at night - between us and the wall. I think she wants the pillow, but when I've given her own pillow she still does it anyway.. It drives me batty. I could put her off the bed 10 times and she'll still hop right up on top of us. The most annoying part, besides the fact that it's gross, is that sometimes she'll lick our chew on our hair!!! Ugh! It's just driving me nuts and I don't know what to do. I won't put her outside at night and if we shut the door she'll just create mayhem in the house since she wants to be with us.
She's a diva and she thinks she's human. Help! I don't mind her sleeping between us, or at our feet, but this whole head issue is a bit much.
Gosh, I sure wish I could help with that. lol. We have three. When it gets cold, I have one on my feet, one between dh and myself, and sometimes one on my head. It's even worse when ds wants to be there too. Sometimes, if it is too annoying, I just toss the offender off. They won't be hurt, though they might try to come back.

LOL....OMG, I have to say my Nicky used to EXACTLY the same thing. All I can say is that some cats just like it up there. The most outgoing super affectionate ones in my experience.
Heaven tried that...sleeping up high (by the chest though, which wasn't conducive to night nursing my son LOL), then I kept on moving her. Now, if she sleeps with us (DH mostly closes the door) she's by our legs. I do toss and turn a lot though...I feel sort of bad about that
: as I'm sure she's been bumped. Maybe that is why they like the top of the head too?
Our cat likes to do that, too. It does help sometimes if we give her a snuggly place that's higher up than our heads. Right now our cat sleeps with Rain, who has set up a couple of cushions with a quilt over them for Cozy..
Spray bottle. Mini size, keep one on each side of the bed. It should work very fast. Be sure to put a nice cozy spot at the foot of the bed where you want her to go.
My cat does that, but only on MY pillow, apparently DH's pillow is no good.
I don't mind it, don't think it's gross at all. If it starts to bug me, I just push him off and he goes somewhere else (usually the foot... of MY side of the bed. Sigh.)
