Our dog got off leash this morning and ran over to the neighbors and they got in a scruff...the neighbor dogs were leashed, but they're mean. Our little 5 pounder got bit by their spaniel...
He seems really "tired" and his shoulder is sore, but I can't find any teeth marks or anything...what should I do?

Take him to the vet--ASAP. He may have puncture wounds you can't see or he may have internal injuries.

Take him to the vet!

As stated above, AND he may be suffering from shock.

Definitely think you shoud take him to the vet. But even if there aren't puncture marks, they could have bruised the muscle or bone and that would make your little one very uncomfortable. There isn't anything you can do legally to get them to pay the vet bills since it was your dog that was off leash.

OK update...
thanks for posting everyone

Haven't taken him to the vet, because we don't have the funds right now
He's got a good sized purple bruise on his tummy and has been pretty listless...I'm going to try and take him to the vet tomorrow. He's been eating/drinking/peeing/poo'ing normally but has been SUPER aggressive to other dogs since. He was always slightly aggressive before, but it's really bad now

I'll post after tomorrow...

Poor baby. Maybe he's just really sore and doesn't want to be messed with. Hopefully this didn't cause permanent damage to how he feels about other dogs. Any word from the vet yet? Not sure what time you were going.

He's doing okay, was really sore and definately didn't want to be messed with...but, he's better. Still aggressive around other dogs and doesn't really want to cuddle or snuggle or anything
