My dog just ate, I would estimate, about 7 crayons. He seems fine. I have never seen him do this before. Will he be okay? Should I be worried?

they should be non-toxic right? check the box. IF he behaved funny, or couldn't poop for 24 hrs, I'd call the vet- but
Our Saint Bernard eats crayons and they come right out, eventually. When it does, his poop will be very pretty, though!

Mama to 5 babies. UCer, too!

Dogs crayons for some reason. Mine have eaten many... The only side effect is the confetti poop

our lab has been swiping crayons from the kids' easel for a good five years. she's no worse for the wear.

i'm not sure if it matters, but how big is your dog?

This is the subject of some of my fondest childhood memories (wipes away wistful little tear). Our family dog decorated the yard with all the colors of the rainbow, and all the neighbor kids came over to look. (sniff) He was a good dog.

Wow. This is turning out to be something to look forward to in the morning.

The crayons were just regular Crayola; not my dd's precious Stockmar (sp), thankfully!

He's a big 'ol mutt, BTW, about 55 pounds; or big to me, considering my last dog was a beagle.

I should have guessed this dog would do this. He's off the chain, so to speak, with "food." I had him off-leash one time and found him licking the inside of a can that had been pried open with about eight sharp prongs on the lid. His tongue was dripping with blood and he didn't seem to even NOTICE. So I guess he'll survive this. Thanks for the reassurance.

My lab seems to think crayons are the greatest desert known to dog.

Yes, the poop is colorful. Otherwise, he seems to live through it. Daily. :
