Need Ideas for Rainy Day fun for kids - Mothering Forums

Not sure if this is the right forum but I'll give it a shot.

DD goes to a babysitter after preschool for 4 hours every day and all day Fridays. We've had a string of really rainy days and the kids there are starting to climb her walls, lol.

I've sent over playdoh and bubbles and crayons but I think she needs something new for the next few days/week.

Any ideas for something that is not too expensive and something that kids from the age of 2 through 8 might enjoy? I think she's getting desperate!

Some ideas that jump to mind are:
-Fort building, with cushions, chairs, sheets, etc.
-Beads
-watercolour paints
-empty tiolet paper rolls to decorate and make maracas (sp?) with
-old magazines to cut out and make collages with
-an old air matress to blow up and jump on (if you happen to have one)
- a new movie/video (if you're desperate!)
