I know this is way too soon to be thinking about Christmas, but I'm having my grandfather build dd a dollhouse. Do you think 4 is a good age for a dollhouse, or will that be too young? I was planning on this being her Christmas present, and dd turns 4 on Dec. 22.

Not too young at all! My 2 year old and 4 year old both enjoy threir dollhouse. Their play changes with age, but they enjoy it all the same.

A bit of this, a bit of that... a mish-mash quilt of a mama to Oliver (2/3/05) and Lilah (2/5/07) and Silas (9/8/09) :

Not too young at all. My poor husband is downstairs putting one together for DD who turns 3 tomorrow. She started playing with them every place she saw one about 3 months ago.

Mostly sane mother to twins.

Definitely not too young. My dd got hers at 2.5 and played with it constantly.

I think 4 is the perfect age, they are really into pretend play and have the fine motor/will not eat the pieces mentality.
