OMGosh, that would be so cool! I'm in PA, home of Little League baseball, but originally from Lancaster. I could feed you whoopie pies, and you could tell everyone I'm not scary at all.

Some day, I want to visit England sooooo much. I don't know a whole lot about my family history, but I do know I'm Irish on my mom's side (McKnight) and English/Welsh on my dad's. I did just find out that my maiden name (Bransby) is actually a town somewhere in England. I'd love to go visit. And not just to stalk Daniel Radcliffe.

I'm going on my great two week shopping extravaganza this afternoon-- ALONE. My houseful of boys is driving me a little insane.

I feel marginally guilty about going out because last night I took Katie Grace away from 2-5 for some mama/Katie time. We had ice cream and went out to the mall. Old Navy has all their clearance for 50% off, and I got her the sweetest little shirt dress and blouse for $6!

And then last night I went to our homeschool group's Mom's Night. I'm an introvert, and I hate the idea of doing stuff like that, but once I get there I usually have a great time. Last night was awesome. I won at the cut-throat Scrabble table and just love this group. They're all very attachment parenting leaning/crunchy/earthy. It was so nice to have a couple hours (OK, 5!) where I just forgot about everything that's been happening and felt happy.

Pixie, I'm still thinking of you and your little one.

Excellent news!
Our little miss cotton ball button is back with us! She woke and looked at me late on saturday night after breathing a lot against the vent that day. Slept a lot through the night, was more awake and moved more on sunday, before she finally, after a nap, pulled on the vent tube. (She hates it, so that's how we always now she's "really back".)
She was extubated and it went fine. She only had a little cpap help night to monday and today, just while sleeping.
She's been talking mostly with signs, (she used it the first few years of her life before she started talking and still remembers an amazing amount) but she's said some things too, yesterday and today. Hoarse from the vent though.
We're all so thrilled and overjoyed!
The docs and nurses too.
We're working on getting home now, we're going home with nurses because of all the contagious people here. (Even with strict rules for her room, we're worried, she has no immune system.) Working on schedules, how often we want a doc to come by etc.
(Please don't quote.)

Thank you all again so much for thoughts, prayers etc. We're so, so grateful.

Ugh...I have been sick for 8 days now, Epiphany as well. Logan and Gavin just started showing symptoms a couple days ago. Thankfully it has only been the 4 of us, we really can't afford for Brian to get sick right now. I am just ready to feel better...like NOW lol. I also am wondering if the cough medicine I took is triggering a gall stone attack.I don't know what else would be doing it.
Hope everyone else is doing better.

Wendybird - that is yucky and I'm sure gallsone pain isn't nice either.

Hopefully you will feel better soon and none of the others will get sick too. There is nothing worse than recovering yourself just in time to look after everyone else!

Great news Pixie!! So glad to hear it.

We've had the flu here- worst part for me was the stomache bit. My boys had the fever but I just had some chills. My daughter might have escaped it entirely!

Post halloween...just negotiating/hiding/rationing the "cookies" as my little one calls the candy. He calls hot chocolate "cookie tea."
