Yeah...not the best mama moment but I often wear my 4 month old and eat lunch. I guess I wasn't being too overly cautious and I was just plain hungry and I look down to find crumbs all in my baby's hair.
I'm positive I'm not the only mama with a not so great babywearing moment, right?
Mama to two wonderful boys DS1 (May 2007) and DS2 (March 2011)
DS usually eats when I do. I'm getting pretty good at breastfeeding and eating with one hand, but there are occasional slipups which cause DH to say later "How on earth did he get curry on his onesie?" And he was only a few weeks old when I looked down and saw a few strands of fettucine draped over his neck. Oops. :p He didn't care...

dh had dd1 (~5 months?) in a wrap on his front while eating a slice of roast beef with horseradish on it. he dropped the meat, sauce side down, on to dd's very full head of hair. she smelled like horseradish for a week!
LOL! Yup, been there! I learned to eat with one hand cupped under my food at all times. It's not perfect, but it helps!
Mama to a bright 7 y/o girl and an exuberant 3 y/o boy Loving unschooling, 2x and natural living in Hawaii.
When DS was a few months old I found a very long strand of spaghetti nestled softly in one of his neck folds. We'd just come back from an Italian restaurant.
I also once dropped a large chunk of onion out of a falafel sandwich onto his bare head while he was sleeping at the breast. He smelled a little rank for a while even after I washed it off.
DD has been spared this indignity so far. Maybe I'm just better at eating one-handed now.
