I was out with my kids at an activity at the playground. It's really fun for the kids and there are about 50 or so kids and parents. We were sitting during snack time and a woman next to me asks how old my kids are. I tell her ds just turned 1 and dd is about to turn 3. (They're 23 mos apart.) We chitchat for a couple minutes and then she says to me...

'You make it look easy'

I just couldn't believe it! I feel like I'm struggling every day and barely keeping it together. I feel like I have no patience (even though people I know say I do) and feel like I have no idea what I'm doing.

What she said was such a compliment to me, like maybe I am doing something right after all. I was so elated, I just said thank you.' It's one thing to get compliments from people you know, but it's really something else to get them from a complete stranger. I sometimes feel like those close to me say things to just make me feel better, but a stranger really means it.

Made my day.
