And, how do you spell it?

Mama? Mamma? Ma? Mom? Mommy? Mama in a foreign language?

And what do they call your dh or dp? (if something other than their first name?)

My ds calls me mom or mommy- spelled just like I did there. When he was younger it was mama (which I must admit I liked better). There is no DH so he doesn't call him anything.

I am Mama, and dh is poppy ( I am not exactly sure how this came about).: but it is easier to use when whining for him. : We're working on getting dd's back to papa. My (almost) 3 yo dd also knows our "real" names. I think this is so very important.

My girls call me "Mom" "Mum" "Mommy" and if they are feeling cuddly "Mama"

They call my husband (their step-dad) "Dad" or "Daddy" and to people not in our family: "The Daddy at our house"

Mom or Mommy, Dad or Daddy. Dd2 occasionally uses my first name, but only because she hears the foster kids do it.

Most of the time, Mom. My youngest (5) still uses Mommy sometimes. When they are angry or exasperated it's Mother: .

My son Mylo, who is almost 13 months old, can only seem to get out "mama" when he is mad or has hurt himself. Otherwise, he doesn't call me anything. He does call his daddy dada.

My son, 2.5 years old, always comes up with some new, endearing term for me. Lately, it's "moo moo."

our 2.5 y/o dd calls me Daddy, Daddie-O (My favorite), Papa, Daee (Pronounced Dah-EE). She calls my dw Mommy, Momma, Momma-Momma (Yes two times fast), Mommie-O, and my favorite (and my wife's least favorite) is hun-bun (I call my dw honey-bunnie, and one day I shortened it to hun-bun, and dd picked up on it instantly)

My DD called me Mah-neen (Maureen) when she was a babe since that is what DH called me.

Later she called me mama, as I wished.

DH wanted to be called Poppy, as he wished.

I'm Mommy most of the time, although my 2 1/2 yo dd is experimenting with "mom"...which I'm not ready for!

Twin ds calls me mommy

And occasionally, I'm honey, or first name, esp. if they just heard Daddy call me that (same for him)

ds, almost 3, calls me "manah." He started this around 16 months-couldn't pronounce mommy or mama. But he'll refer to me as mommy when talking to my mom, who uses both mommy and manah to refer to me herself. DH is daddy, occaisionally dad.

DD calls me Mama. I hope she always calls me that. She used to call DH Dada...then moved on to Daddy. Now she calls him Chippy Daddy (his name is Chip, but we have no idea where she got Chippy Daddy)!

*timely question for me*

DS just started calling me Mommy rather than Mama. I thought it would be so fun when he started calling my Mommy, but strangely I'm very sad, the realization that our relationship is once again, changing. This time from baby, to little boy. *sigh*

The fun flip side to this is that he's also moved on from DaDa for DH. But he for whatever reason, won't call him "Daddy." Instead calls him, "DeeDad!" It's too sweet!

My son said da da for months before he tried ma ma. Now he calls me Mommy. It usually sounds like mah meeeee. Usually, the greeting I get is "nuh see, nuh see."

When my boys were tiny they called me Mumma or sometimes Mummy; now I'm Mom. For some reason I really hated when people would refer to me as "Mommy" when talking to the boys. Most especially my [now ex-] MIL, because I **know** she deliberately mispronounced it because she thought "Mumma" was 'weird.' Oddly, my own mother was Mummy, not Mumma...she called her mother (who I never knew; she died when my mom was a little girl) "Mumma" and I always liked it. It came out naturally when I had babies.
Even more oddly, I have come to refer to myself, in the third person, as the Mama. Only with articles: the Mama or a Mama. I picked up the habit during my hipMama tenure, I guess

The boys called their father Daddy and now he's Dad. I refer to him either as "Daddy" or, depending on how much he's pissing me off at any given moment, a gritted-teeth "your father."

They just call my SO by his first name, and always will, I guess.

Ha, Shulammite (I hope I spelled that right!), I'm just the opposite. I want my girls to still call me Mommy, but FIL always says MOM and so now she's trying that on me and I can't stand it. She's only 3-I'm not ready for MOM!!! Now that she knows I'm not crazy about it she calls me Mom and then gives me that sly little smile
So, we're sometimes Mommy and Daddy-somtimes Mom and Dad and occasionally Paige and John.
The 13 month old is calling me MaMaMaMaMa (goes on until I get my bra undone, pick up her toy, etc. ) and dh is dada, which he loves. He always picks her up and says "Say dada". Occasionally she obliges him! They're so cute together

Paige, mama to three girls, (10), (8) and (3)

He calls me "mama", although he did say "mommy" a few times the other day. A lot of times he will say "me-mama" because my mom, who keeps him 4 hours or so every morning while I'm at work, is "MiMi" and I guess it's tough to switch back and forth.

He calls his dad "dada". For the longest time, he called him "blah blah", for whatever reason, but he's been "dada" since Chase turned 1.

Oh, and the grandparents are:

MiMi (my mom)
Pappaw (my dad - comes out "Babbaw")
PawPaw (DH's dad - comes out "BawBaw")
Honey (DH's stepmom - Chase came up with this one on his own and says it so sweetly - "uh-knee")
Maw (DH's mom)
Pop (DH's stepdad - actually it's more like "Pots")
Granny (DH's grandmother - comes out more of a slurred "Gandy")

Gabe calls me mummy, but it is pronounced mumm-eye. He also says dadd-eye. He has this really bad cockney accent for a little American boy!!!
