Or heard of anyone who tried this? Several friends and I are considering ways to create more affordable, quality childcare. We all work part-time with varying schedules, and are wondering if we could put together some sort of co-op where we all take care of each others' kids in a group setting (e.g., 2 adults for 5 kids, or something like that). There are lots of logistical issues to work out though, and we looking for 'models' to copy. Any information would be appreciated!

I don't know if this will help, but I bought a book called "The Smart Mom's Baby-sitting Co-op" by Gary Myers. It's more geared to occasional babysitting, but I think much of the information could be adapted.

Good luck.
