We have DS in a Regent. He's about 43lb. When we travel we have always brought a regular (Compass) booster with us because it is lightwt. Now that I've read the thread about the boy who died in a crash when the seatbelt failed I'm concerned and want to keep DS in a 5point seat even when travelling. Problem is that the Regent is soooo heavy that it's almost impossible to travel with.

For those of you using the Regent- what do you do when travelling?

What about cars with built-in 5pt harnesses for kids? We've rented cars with these but now I'm not so sure about them.
