Go ahead women! Offer yourselves a change of pace! A three-day weekend in paradise! Oh! If only I could explain it to the "you need a nanny" set! Oh! If only I could explain it to the "we have hot dates once a week" crowd! You're in a rut? You keep going down the same ol' path with your toddler? You feel frustrated? All you wanna do is scream (or even hit)?

Well get yourselves outta that ol' rut and take a vacation with your toddler?

Suddenly not wanting to get out of the bathtub is an opportunity for play! Everything she does is so so cute! You're smiling again!

All this can be had for a simple weekend in paradise attached at the hip to your toddler/child! Co-sleep! Play together! The change of pace will change your perspective! KIDS ARE FUN! And that's how it should be at home! All it takes is a tiny change of scenery!...a change of pace!

Follow these instructions once every few months and you will be an all-new mama/papa! Guaranteed!

Seriously....

Iris and I took an extended weekend - all alone - in a beautiful, mountainous region of our new country. We had a beautiful altitude lake, gardens, beach, cottage, full-board. A lot like summer camp for the mama-weary! We played together. We slept together. We ate together. Iris loved the beach. She loved being with mommy full-time. She simply enjoyed herself. And so did I!

We talked. We understood each other! We made commitments!

Forget the mommy weekends! Go with your kid(s)

Great advice PM!

I used to do this all the time with ds. Usually we would go camping and exploring during the week while dh was working.
Thanks for helping me remember those times and putting a smile on my face.

I have not been brave enough to try with 2 kids yet!
