I don't know where to post this but I'm looking for website and information to help my house start going plastic free. I'm concerned about BPA and Phthalates, (I was always worried about chemicals in our house but now I have a name and what they do) so I want to start phasing out as much plastic as possible, starting with diapers, I'm going to CD my newborn come March and I'm thinking of buying AIO's for my toddler, (he's potty training)

but what to use in the kitchen, etc... sippy cups. things that are affordable. We live very meagerly my husband works I don't and we live in CT on a very small salary (which is hard to do)

so anyone with info or websites I can check out would be great

Look at your local thrift stores for glass containers for the kitchen (I always see lots at ours.) and wooden/cloth toys. You can also sell your plastic stuff in lots on eBay or craigslist to earn money to buy the non-plastic things you want.

The best thing is, non-plastic stuff holds up better and lasts longer, so the little extra money you spend will be well worth it. I know, for example, that our Sigg bottles have paid for themselves many times over.
