I am wondering how many of us has sought outside help with their marriage and how effective it was. My DH and I have seen a counselor a couple times so far, but I'm not very impressed with the whole thing, and have only gotten to actually speak about 10 minutes out of the two sessions we've had thus far. (I am the one who initiated it.) It feels exactly like our marriage - all of his needs and wants are met and none of mine are even addressed. :

I'm trying not to make any judgements about it yet, eventhough I am frustrated - it is early in the process.

Mooooom! to  guitar.gifDS (1/05) and whistling.gifDSS (11/05).  TTC fingersx.gifour "ours" after VR on 10/12.

Same here, we went for two sessions and I felt it was all extremely superficial. This was partly my fault, as I never had the guts to say what I really wanted to say.

We are now going for individual therapy with a view to eventually having couples therapy.

In my mind I'm giving it all about 6months.
