Since I was the original poster of the famous thread "how much wieght did you put on so far..." I thought I'd start a new one on how much weight has everyone lost after they had their baby!

I wanna hear some inspiration since I am still BIG and HEAVY! I can't wait to lose all that weight.........I find myself looking at other women and hoping to look like them real soon!

Let me preface this by saying, I am nursing two children this time and the weight last time came off much more slowly. My goal weight while nursing is 125-130 (my breasts weigh 6-8 pounds when full and I'm taking that into account). My last weigh in while in labor was 158. I weigh 141 right now so I've lost 17 pounds and have about 10-15 left to go. I am 8 days pp. :

The last time I weighed myself was at 12 days PP and I had lost a total of 27 lbs. (17 of that was right after labor). I had gained 40, so I'm only up by 13 lbs (I 2nd the comment about most of that being in my boobs : )!! I don't think that's too bad. I'm also only 2 pants sizes up from my pre-PG body.

Celeste, how do you weigh your breasts?? I'm mostly kidding (I'm visualizing serious scale acrobatics here) but I have wondered how people know how much their boobies weigh, empty vs. full etc.

I've lost 20 so far. I still have 12 more to go. With DS1 I gained 17 pounds and it was off within the first week. I'm not so lucky this time. Plus I weighed 23 pounds more than with him, so I have a lot of weight to lose if I want to get back to that point. It was so easy to diet, okay starve, myself before kids. Now whenever they have to eat, I have to eat along with them....

I'm interested in seeing what happens this time. Last time, the actual baby weight came right off not long after giving birth, it was all the weight I'd gained before getting pregnant that I had to work to get to come off! Which I did. Right now at over 9 months pregnant, I weigh the same as I did before I conceived DS1. So we shall see what happens.

I gained a total of 53 pounds with this pregnancy. I'd lost 17 by 6 days postpartum and seem to be holding right there. : But my boobs are HUGE and I'm starving all the time.

Breastfeeding rocks. I gained around 40 pounds (an estimate since I stopped weighing when I hit 35 pounds) and I now have 9 pounds to go to pre-preggo weight. I'm 18 days postpartum. Of course, I was overweight to begin with, so I have about another 50 on top of that to lose! :

Well as of this morning I've only lost 11 lbs. Considering the baby was almost 8.5 lbs of that, it's a little disappointing. Then again each of my boobs are now the size of my baby's head so perhaps there's a little weight stored in there too. I'm not quite 3 days post partum so we'll see what happens. I can't remember how long it took me to fit in my clothes after DD1's birth, but it was under 2 weeks. Belly is taking noticeably longer to shrink this time.

Wow, 2 weeks! W/ my first it took me months to fit into my 'normal' clothes. I didn't weigh myself until almost a year later. W/ Neva, I have about 15 lbs to go (as of last friday), but it will take me months to get firmed up in the lower portions of my body and that's ok!

At 23 days pp, I've only got 3 more lbs. to go to my pre-pg weight. I gained 28 & have lost 25. But, now the real work begins. I was 40 or so lbs. overweight when I got pg. I'm hoping to lose that as well. I wish it was this easy! My pregnancy weight has come off really quickly both times.

I'm now about 10 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight (I gained approx 25 total). My tummy is still not flat and my boobs went from a C cup to an F cup and my hips are wider, so I am not expecting to be that skinny again any time soon. I am only 9 days pp so I'll give myself a break!

I was 153 at my last pg weigh in. And 131 yesterday...so 22 lbs off at 11d PP. I'm hoping to stay around 130'ish...I went into this pregnancy grossly underweight.

Good luck and hugs to everyone not yet at thier goal

I think i'll weight myself tomorrow.

I do know that i am able to wear a pair of short that i could wear pre-pg. I was totally happy about that. I'm guessing that the weight that i gained(about 20ish lbs) is almost gone. It was like that with dd2. I lost the weight i gained pretty fast.

So in addition to having a jelly belly (shrinking, but still soft and poochy) I'm having a hard time finding my stomach muscles underneath the pot. Even when I try to harden my belly I'm feeling around and nothing. Anyone know what it feels like when your abs separate?

Have I mentioned how much I love my OB? He doesn't even weigh you at your 1week postnatal appt! But I was curious, so I asked them to weigh me.

At my one week postnatal appt, I was 10kg (~22lbs) less than my 41 week appt. I've got about 7kg (~15.5lbs) to go...

nak! (so probably lost another # as we speak!)

6 days past c-section and down 20 lbs. Thats purely nursing because I'm not moving around much. My belly is nearly back to flat and I love my bellybutton. So much cuter than before! I think I might get it pierced in celebration!

I haven't got a scale at home, and my 6-week postpartum checkup isn't for another couple of weeks, so I don't know for sure how much I've lost. I gained a total of 32 lbs with the pregnancy, and I'm willing to bet that I've lost most of the weight already. My belly is mostly flat...not back to how it was before, but still, it looks decent, I suppose. It's flatter than the bellies of many women who have NOT just given birth, so I probably should not complain. So I think I'm fairly close to being at my prepregnancy weight.

I'm 9 days postpartum (I guess I should probably post a thread saying that I had the baby, huh ) and I've gone from 149 to 130. I was 131 when I got out of the hospital so I'm holding steady, but any loss I've had is counter balanced by the boobs I've gained. My waistline has gone from just under 42 inches around to 33 inches as of this morning. I was just under 28 inches when I got pregnant so I've got a few inches to go.

Funny little story here. They weighed me when I first got to the hospital and I was at 149. I was at 9 cm so the broke my water. A bit later I got up and walked around and I don't know why I stepped back on the scale, but I did and I was down to 142. I had changed from my clothing into a gown, but that could only be a pound at the most. That means that I lost about 6 or 7 pounds just from having my water broken. I seemed so much smaller after they broke it, and after stepping on the scale it was obvious why.

it's amazing reading these posts
you know I haven't even bothered weighing myself yet - because I know I will find it depressing - none of my old clothes anywhere near fit yet and I'm sure they won't for some time ...........

I'm 5 days PP and weigh 9 lbs less than I did right before she was born. I just don't understand the math - deliver a 10 lb baby and the placenta and only weigh 9 lbs less? Go figure.

I actually gained weight immediately after the the birth ... probably thanks to the many, many bags of IV fluid I got during and after birth. : I was unbelievably swollen for about 10 days afterwards.

Now, 3.5 weeks later, I'm down about 20 pounds out of about 30 gained. My belly is nowhere near flat, though!
